Ah, 7 Days. I have put almost 400 hours into this game. Needless to say, I enjoy this one. I have played this game through many changes and updates, all for the better of course.
The aim of this game is simple. Don’t die. Well, die as little as possible anyway. This game can be played single-player but is much better in a group. I would suggest playing with people you know as some people just love to watch the world burn.
In this First-person game, you start in only underwear, unarmed and inexperienced. With the assistance of a stranger, you are shown how to construct the basics to begin your survival in the wilderness of either the pre-designed world or a randomly generated one. Each random world is unique and poses its own risks and threats. Either finding or building a shelter is very important as overnight the zombies become more aggressive and begin to run at you if they spot you. On the 7th night, well you had better have a very secure base by then, is a blood moon. Hordes are inbound directly to your location and boy are they angry. They will rip through anything just to get to you.
With a very easy to use interface and easy to access menus this game is very easy to grasp. Once you have become brave enough to start adventuring you discover that you are not alone and the tools you have created prove useful. With a variety of enemies and wildlife both trying to kill you and avoid you, you will never be alone again.
The graphics for this game have definitely improved over the years and are sure to in future updates as well. Each zombie type is unique and with the ability to remove limbs you can really enjoy the stray zombie encounter. There is a variety of biomes along with zombie types found typically in them that can make or ruin your day.
With the ability to use either keyboard and mouse or controller this game is great for versatility. I would recommend using keyboard and mouse as it makes the navigation of the menus a lot easier, with key specific shortcuts and more accuracy with the mouse. I found the controller to be a little clunky in the menus and had to adjust the sensitivity to be able to play properly.
All in all, this is a great game (in my opinion) and if you enjoy open world-building games with a hoard twist, then this is a game you absolutely should check out.
